MCMLXXXII… that would be 1982 in roman numerals, in case you were confused or just wondering…

in ’82 i came into this world with little more than a few hairs on my head and even less knowledge in my 3 lb. brain (fyi… 3 pounds is the weight of the average human brain!)

you would think after 25 years i’d know a little more (maybe a lot more) than i actually do… regardless of how little or how much i think i know, there is plenty of life ahead of me and i hope and pray that i can soak it up and enjoy this life and live it for the right reasons… if i can just keep my focus where it should be focused and just show up each day and allow God to use me and shape me as He sees fit i will be just fine…

side note: i feel like the past few blogs i’ve posted haven’t made much sense, not sure why, but if they really don’t make sense than just know it’s not intentional, i’m just in a funk…

headache…

my head hurts so bad… all of me hurts right now… i’m just so raw, worn down to barely anything… i dunno if it’s from just pouring everything i have out in prayer tonight… praying for people i care about and situations in their lives as well as my own… i’m just sore… worn… it’s been a while since i’ve done this, but tonight after dropping Darren off at his car, the rest of my trip home i couldn’t find peace or anything in music… i tried different cds, nothing was working… so i just spent the majority of my drive home in silence… well, that’s not true, i was talking most of the time, outloud to God… something i don’t do too often though i should more… not that i don’t talk to Him, i do, i pray a LOT… those of you who really know me know how often i do, but that’s not the point… the point is that i’m desperate, desperate for a change… not only in me, but in those around me… everything… not just a few things, not just some things, not even most things, but EVERYTHING… as my friend Mark used to put it, “ALL means all, and that’s all ALL means…” we need more than anything to give up what we’ve made a mess of, and hand it over to God b/c He’s the only one who can fix it and make it work… i dunno what else to say… i’m blank and again, just really hurting… for those of you who are reading this, know that i love you, really, wholly with everything that i have, i love you, as brothers and sisters, as companions along my walk, as sources of encouragement and strength and many other things i can’t get into right now…. i love you all… please please please open your hearts and eyes to see and be open to what God is doing right now… that’s all i got… sorry for the long blurb of a mess here… thanks for reading it all… i’m praying for you

so what’s new?

the past week (as in the past 7 days) has been crazy… i had last Saturday, Sunday and Monday off from work but was on the go all 3 days… got my MacBook on Monday after a week of going back and forth on whether or not i should get one now… it’s pretty suite… glad i got it… looking forward to hooking it up and seeing what it can do…

this is actually my first wordpress blog on it… seems to be set up a bit differently on here but it’s all right… i’ll get used to it…

works been a little crazy this week with pretty much everyone requesting the same days off… except me of course, i never go anywhere… woo! go me… so i’ve been slammed at work and been shorthanded… long days… and i close tomorrow… but good news is i don’t have to go in until 12:30… so it’s just a normal 8 hour day…

gonna run and finish downloading the new Damien Rice cd which i’ve heard is pretty good… i’m pooped… have a great weekend!

okay… i just really want one… Mac’s are sweet… not giving up my pc… just want a MacBook too… really really bad… maybe one day… ha!

i just really want to be able to go to all these coffee shops or other places that have WiFi and just sit and relax and people watch, blog, surf… i dunno… guess i miss my old laptop (not the laptop itself, just the idea of it) and the fact that Mac’s are sweet kinda adds to the desire… i’ll have one by my birthday this year i think (birthday present to myself)… we’ll see…
